Cohousing Scotland Roadshow

Imagine If supported Cohousing Scotland in events across Scotland through May and June 2022. The events aimed to provide as much information as possible about Cohousing. We played our Imagine If Game with 68 different people in Orkney, Inverkeithing, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

This chart is a snapshot of the results gathered and shows whether people might be suited to cohousing and sharing spaces with other households or whether people were more suited to more private housing

“This game is a brilliant way of opening people’s minds to the possibilities and understanding of cohousing. This game has the potential to open the minds of LAs and HAs to the benefits of cohousing in a way that cuts through many of the barriers”

- Norrie McPhail, Cohousing Scotland

"We want more people in Scotland to know about Cohousing and all it has to offer. Currently, housing provision centres on the commercial developer-led private sector, on the one hand, and state-led social provision on the other. We believe it is time to look to new and innovative ways to solve our country’s housing crisis”

- Andrew Prendergast, Cohousing Scotland
