Cohousing Scotland, Inverkeithing

  • Inverkeithing Civic Centre (map)

Hosted in partnership with Inverkeithing Development Trust, who worked with Vivarium Trust to develop plans for the community-led regeneration of a derelict town centre school for co-housing and other community activities. The site has recently been offered to the community which may enable progress.

Session 1: 2.30pm to 5pm (a chance to play the imagine if game and learn about cohousing and local initiatives)

Session 2: 7pm to 8.30pm (a guest panel will lead a discussion about new directions for housing in Inverkeithing)

This is our second event supporting Cohousing Scotland, which aims to start conversations about cohousing with as many people living in Scotland as possible. Our next event will be in Glasgow on June 9th 2022.

We will be bringing our Imagine If game to these events which can be played by any age. Our game encourages people to think about shared community resources and what is important to them in their home. You can find out more about our Imagine If game here>

Who are Cohousing Scotland?

Cohousing Scotland are a Charity representing Scottish community-led housing that is run by the residents themselves. Coho Scot act as a support forum for local Cohousing groups, fostering best practice, promoting opportunities and providing guidance to stakeholders. Their ambition is to help create the choice of inclusive, sustainable housing, that responds to the needs of local communities and puts decision making back into their hands.
